Enrique's Journey

Welcome to the Pearson Library’s site for Enrique's Journey, this year’s common reader!

If you are a First Year student, this site will help you learn about the Pearson Library’s many resources and online databases you can use for your class assignments. While the focus is on Enrique's Journey, you will learn about library resources that will help you in your other classes too.

If you are a faculty member teaching a freshman seminar, visit the Faculty Corner and browse through our Learning Modules customized for the freshman seminar classes. These modules introduce students to important information literacy competencies such as evaluating information and in particular, recognizing the differences between using Internet web sites and the library’s subscription database. Other competencies focus on developing basic research skills, citing sources and recognizing and avoiding plagiarism. These are stand alone modules you can use with your peer advisor or administrative advisor. You can also invite an Information specialist from the library to conduct a session utilizing one of the modules your students.

We hope you enjoy visiting our site and will find this useful in your involvement in the First Year Experience!
